Each January the Indian Rose Federation, in collaboration with a local rose society, organizes a national rose conventionin in a different city. The convention includes a competitive rose show with roses entered from all over India, seminars, workshops, lectures and visits to rose gardens in the area. The Indian Rose Annual , edited by Girija and M.S. (Viru) Viraraghavan, is released at the convention.

There are 19 local Rose Societies under the umbrella of the Indian Rose Federation.
